We are often asked what our job means to us at m2m… “To us, creativity, art and design are not considered a job they are considered a way of life. Design reaches far beyond just making things look “pretty.” It’s about harmonizing the principles and elements of design into a conceptual composition to create a cohesive outcome. It’s about listening to your client and creating a layout that is so functionally sound that the mind and the body move flawlessly throughout a space without having to think. It’s about determining the use of a space in order to focus the design on psychological stimulants, in order to entice a positive reaction from the occupants. And at the end of the day, it’s really about a designer’s love for their work.”

There is no question that everyone on the m2m team is an extremely important part of the brand and company and brings their own individual uniqueness. Here is just a short  brief on the founder of m2m Design Local Inc.

She is a creative individual who takes pride in her work. She has an undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin where she quickly took an interest in human behaviour within spaces and the affects that each space has on the human mind and movement. Always having a passion for architecture and design, she then proceeded to Toronto where she attained a postgraduate degree in Architectural Interior Design. Linking her knowledge of human behaviour and interior design gives her a better understanding in creating beautiful, functional and unique spaces. Her ultimate goal is to find aesthetically endowed, innovative solutions for each unique interior space with focus on work, life and play.

Throughout her work, she has acquired skills that allow her to look past singular parts of a composition bringing her attention to the overall sum of the project, subsequently creating flow and synergy. She has learned to step away from compartmentalization and, in turn, create spaces that are both highly fashionable and seamlessly functional. Her passion and knowledge of interior design allow her to create individually tailored environments for each client. Every person is different, why should any design be the same?
